Details:
Weekly camp sessions are 90 mins on Saturdays between 10am - 2pm exact start time based on group assignment.
Each session of RAP camp will empower students with the skills needed to confidently perform with spoken word, movement, and music - but the sessions are intended to be attended in 8 week blocks that culminate in a live musical performance.
"Our mindset is that rap is a tool and an instrument that can be used to tell a story.
Campers dive into the science of rap music and learn how to deliver a story with confidence, annunciation, and character - ending the 8 week session with a LIVE performance!
There is one session per week, with supplemental sessions and private parties available. There will be a MAXIMUM of 10 students per class session.
Sessions take place at Richard Rioux Park. Next session begins 1/24/23 - 3/11/23

Rap camp for kids is an all encompassing, developmental, live experience in the heart of the music industry, Los Angeles, California! Those participating in the limited space experience will receive top notch training, coaching, guidance, and access to inside professional facilities to tap into their unlimited potential and unlock their Artistic talents, exude their confidence, develop their production skills, and examine different roles and career paths in the Music Industry from A&Rs to Engineers, and Artists.
The 8 Week Camp concludes in a LIVE streamed and Recorded Performance that will be edited into a video ready for public upload to your favorite streaming platform. Don't worry, we'll take care of all the technical parts!
FAQ's:
Will my child need special equipment for the camp?
No. Each child will be provided with the tools they need to excel. We are partnered with Guitar Center, and will also show you our equipment recommendations for those campers that want to continue their studies after the session ends.
Are Snacks Provided?
Yes. A variety of snacks will be available for campers to keep energy high and tummies quiet. Please request an allergy form or feel free to pack your camper's food and drink. A snack menu will be sent in your registration packet.
What ages is this best for?
We recommend this version of Rap Camp for those aged 6 -12. We have other versions for campers ages 3-5 and those aged 13-15. Click here to request more information.

What do they need to bring with them each day?
A more detailed weekly calendar will be sent prior to your start date, but each camper will need these things for each class session:
- A Water Bottle
- A Small Bag or Pack
- A light jacket or sweater (it can get chilly in the studios)
Where are the camps? Is there a virtual option?
The camps are in person so that we can work on stage presence and delivery. We are actively working on ways to develop those skills virtually, and will hopefully be offering a remote version soon.
Do the campers have to wear masks?
Each Rap Camp location will be following local regulations and recommendations when it comes to face masks. We will be taking common sense precautions including hand sanitizing stations, smaller group sizes, and offering those with symptoms partial refunds if your child becomes ill with Covid 19.
So, what in included in the registration cost?
Each camper gets access to a weekly 90 minute session. Each camper receives their Rapper's Tool Kit that includes lyric book, character kit, and pencil.
